12 bottles of 100 Point Robert Parker Flawless Wines

For many years after Robert Parker popularized the 100-point scale for evaluating wine, no wine he tasted merited the perfection implicit in earning the full 100 points. The suspense mounted with the knowledge that he would eventually bestow the coveted number on a bottle, which bottle would finally be deemed worthy of that elusive sobriquet? The anticipation was finally dispelled when Parker, who gained international fame for his vociferous support of the 1982 Bordeaux vintage, announced that to his pallet, perfection was embodied in the 1982 Chateau Mouton Rothschild. Since then, he has awarded his perfect score nearly 200 times, "less than 1/10th of 1% of the wines I taste," he says. Of course, the Parker imprimatur guarantees a wine will sell out in a flash and quite a few of the 100 point scores have been given in retrospective tastings of vintages long past and unavailable. But, here are a cool dozen 100 pointers which will be yours for the bidding.
